White Teeth Home Remedies: Acacia Stem To Oil Pulling, 5 Ayurvedic Home Remedies That Will Give You White Teeth

To get white teeth, you do not have to rub lemons or make a weird-tasting paste

To get white teeth, you do not have to rub lemons or make a weird-tasting paste of baking soda. We have got Ayurvedic home remedies that you can practise at home to get your teeth shining bright.

Have you been trying remedies to make your teeth white? While most people prefer pearl white teeth, the dentin layer beneath the enamel is naturally yellow. Hence, most of us have non-white teeth because the yellow reflects a bit.

Many people use baking soda, salt, orange peels, lemon and banana peels among other products to achieve white teeth. However, Dr Dixa Bhavsar Savaliya, an Ayurvedic expert, shared a few natural remedies on her Instagram page to help you achieve white teeth with minimal effort.

Dr Savaliya said, "There are two rules you need to stick with - one is to practise patience because it will not happen overnight, and the second is to follow the tips consistently."

In Ayurveda, acacia (babul) and neem twigs are mentioned as good options for brushing teeth. Dr Savaliya said the two have antimicrobial properties. If you chew them, they will release anti-bacterial agents into your mouth that help to take care of your oral health.

We have all read in our books that it is necessary to brush at least twice a day to ensure good oral health. Dr Savaliya also has a similar tip for you. She said, "It is crucial to brush post meals, especially after eating sticky food items like chocolates."

She added that it is not possible to brush after every meal or 4-5 times a day, a person must brush in the morning and before going to sleep.

A decoction of liquorice (yashtimadhu) (Liquorice Root Remedies) or triphala serves as an excellent mouth rinser, said Dr Savaliya. Along with maintaining oral hygiene, the practice also alleviates mouth ulcers.

Oil pulling refers to swishing oil in the mouth. It helps to remove germs from teeth and gums. It also helps to alleviate ulcers and exercises the muscles of the mouth. It leads to the strengthening and toning of muscles.
