Built by Box39, this custom Harley-Davidson is an insane 2,100cc monster.

Harley-Davidson makes plenty of high-quality motorcycles, but among their most premier is the Breakout cruiser. The bike comes with an impressive 117 cubic inch V-twin engine and produces around 100 horsepower and 123 ft-lb of torque. These are impressive numbers, but why not make them even better?

Russian custom shop Box39 had the same idea and decided to go all out, making a completely customized, high-performance Breakout that is one of the most wicked bikes you'll ever see. Taking a 2022 Breakout, they added luxury components and no shortage of performance parts to pump 150 horsepower out of their custom beast. Let's take a closer look at this monster cruiser.

Out of the factory, the 2022 Breakout comes standard with Harley-Davidson's Milwaukee Eight 114 engine that has a displacement of 1,868cc. For their custom version, Box39 scrapped the 114 and replaced it with Harley's 2,146cc stage IV crate engine and paired it with a free-flow KessTech exhaust system. This network of upgrades gets a bump of over 50 horsepower from 94 hp to 150 hp after only adding around 300cc to the size of the engine.

The power increase would have the Box39 Breakout absolutely smoking a base Breakout on the road. The wheelbase of the stock Breakout from Harley-Davidson is 66.7 inches, and that appears to remain the same. What isn't the same are the tires, however. The stock Breakout runs a 130 mm, 21-inch tire in the front and a 240 mm, 18-inch tire in the rear. Box39 has held on to that front tire size but increased the rear to a massive 280 mm across to give the bike an extremely mean and aggressive look. One could even call the rear tire monstrous.

The powertrain isn't the only area that Box39 improved. On the wheels, they ripped out the old braking system and replaced it with a set of Brembo calipers and petal rotors. More power means you need to slow down better. They also ditched the forks that Harley-Davidson put on the Breakout in favor of an upside-down Öhlins system which is mounted onto a custom triple tree. These forks are mated to a custom-built flat handlebar and fender, which houses many of the bike's internals. At the rear, the bike rides on air suspension, which allows it to have an aggressive low stance.

The massive 280-section tire in the rear is wrapped by a custom-built fender and paired with a custom leather seat. If it hasn't been made clear enough yet, this bike is barely the same as it was out of the factory, as Box39 went above and beyond to customize as much of the machine as they could.

Beyond the parts that make the bike run, Box39 put luxury flares on every component of the Harley Breakout. The belt pulley was machined to look like the wheels as well as the air filter. The rearview mirrors are completely custom, LEDs are hidden around the bike, and the entire Breakout is covered in a cool gloss black. The only thing that pops out is the gold of the Öhlins suspension and the chrome on the wheels. In fact, the only things that remain stock on Box39's breakout are the headlight and the fuel tank.

The short answer to this question is no. However, the long answer is yes. While you can't purchase this exact Breakout, you can commission a bike from Box39 to be very similar to this one. Founded in 2011 in a small garage, the Russian company now works at full capacity to satisfy the Russian and global market for custom bikes. Their workshop allows them to make many custom parts that are needed in the production of these custom motorcycles, including the beautiful wheels seen on this Breakout.

They work on lots of different Harley models outside the Breakout as well. The Fat Boy, Street Glide, and Road King have all seen customizations from Box39. They even have wildly modified Ducatis featured on their website. They don't only make custom bikes, though. Box39 also takes orders for custom wheels, traverses, pendulums, milling, and engineering services. Whatever you want customized, Box39 will likely get it done for you. However, this does come at a considerable cost. A 2023 Breakout from Harley-Davidson starts from $20,999. Box39 charges around $80,000 for builds similar to their version of the Breakout. If you want to own one of these monsters, you're going to have to get out the checkbook. However, it might be worth it as these bikes are one of a kind and extremely cool.
