As a Roblox game that has evolved a lot since its launch, Pet Simulator X offers many different mechanics that might feel a bit confusing for any new player. Although the game's core system is pretty simple, there are multiple ways to enhance your experience and improve your performance in the field.

There is no need to say that everything you do in Pet Simulator X is to earn new pets with much higher looting stats. While there are several mechanics to simply upgrade your lower-level pets, you can just grind enough Diamonds to buy a powerful pet at a lower cost, and this is where Traveling Merchant comes in.

Traveling Merchant is a vendor that appears in Pet Simulator X in a limited timeframe. You can meet the vendor only for 10 minutes as soon as they appear. If you miss the active period, you need to wait 50 minutes until they appear once again.

You can find the Traveling Merchant mostly in the Spawn World in front of the Shop section. The vendor sets up a small shop next to the Daycare entry and in front of the Diamond Mine's door. If you stand inside its interacting circle, you can check out the offers. Each time that the merchant spawns, you will get fresh offers for fresh prices.

As soon as Traveling Merchant spawns, you will get a message on your screen and the chat bar indicating the vendor's arrival. However, if you can't find the traveler in the aforementioned area, it means you need to check their alternative spawn point, which is Trading Plaza.

Trading Plaza can be accessed through a door just behind the Shop section when you walk upstairs. However, this is a place that you need to pay to unlock. Each player needs to pay 1 million Diamonds to unlock Trading Plaza, which allows you to take part in player auctions and sell your own pets as well, aside from accessing the Traveling Merchant.

Usually, players who have enough Diamonds to buy a pet from Traveling Merchant don't have to worry much about unlocking Trading Plaza, as the merchant's offers mostly cost you tens of millions of Diamonds. So, if you are looking for really cheap pets, you are better off spending your coins on Eggs rather than waiting for Traveling Merchant.
