Eva Mendes recently opened up about embracing her sexiness at 50 and her views on cosmetic treatments to maintain her youthful glow.

The Cuban-American beauty, looking just as radiant as she did in her last film, 2015's Lost River directed by her husband Ryan Gosling, revealed that she is open to beauty procedures, as long as they offer reversible results.

'I'm not afraid to try things that are safe, because most of these little treatments, let's say, are reversible,' she shared in a recent interview with The Times.

Seemingly revealing that she has experimented with Botox and other temporary cosmetic treatments, she said: 'If you get Botox, it goes away if you don't like it. There have been times where I've regretted something… and then you just wait it out.'

The candid conversation comes after the star, who stepped back from Hollywood following the birth of her first child with Gosling in 2014, previously addressed critics who accused her of denying plastic surgery rumors.

Mendes took to social media in 2021, saying she 'wanted to clear up' a few things after her response to a comment lead to fans claiming she 'denied plastic surgery accusations.'

'Never "denied plastic surgery,"' she wrote. 'All I did was reply to a specific comment on SM,' she continued. 'Would never deny that stuff. I'm all for it. All. For. It.'

At the time, she also shared photos of herself undergoing a procedure called Mono-threading, which involves the insertion of needled threads in various points to aid lifting and tightening of the skin.

In her The Times interview, the star also admitted Gosling makes her feel 'real f****** sexy'.

She has been engulfed in a romance with the Hollywood star, 43, since 2011 and reportedly wed in a secret ceremony in 2016.

Eva credited Ryan of always making her feel good about herself as she admitted she 'never considers herself beautiful'.

But thanks to Barbie star Ryan, Eva said feels on top of the world when he 'gives her a look'.

She told The Times: 'I feel really f***ing sexy at times. The way my man looks at me is just … at times I’m like, "oh my God".

'That might not sit well with people, but so much of how I feel is a reflection of what he’s giving me.

'There’s so many things that can make me feel sexy and I’d say that I feel more sexy than not. I guess because I’ve never considered myself beautiful, but I’ve always felt very sexy.'

The A-lister shares daughters Esmeralda, 10, and Amada, eight, with Ryan.

Mendes’s big hits as an actress included Training Day (2001, in her breakthrough role playing Denzel Washington’s mistress), Hitch (2005) and The Other Guys (2010), before she starred opposite Gosling in The Place Beyond the Pines (2012).

In 2014, the same year she had her first child, she walked away from Hollywood.

'I was never in love with acting. I don’t mean this in a self-deprecating way, but I wasn’t a great actress,' she told the outlet.

'I had my moments when I worked with really great people,' she said, adding that she is proudest of the two films on which she worked with Gosling, Lost River and 2012's The Place Beyond the Pines.

The actress and mother of two opens up about the couple's two daughters, their parenting style, and one of the household rules that wouldn't go over well with many kids.

It turns out the celebrity duo doesn't allow their children, who are home-schooled, to use smartphones or social media at their home.

Mendes and Gosling welcomed their first daughter, Esmeralda, now 10, in September 2014, and their second daughter, Amada, eight, in April 2016.

'Putting my kid on the internet and being like, "Oh, search something," that to me is equivalent to telling her, "Oh, just go down the street in the middle of the night. You'll be fine,"' Mendes, 50, revealed.

'I know that sounds extreme, but that's what I feel,' the actress added.

Mendes (born Eva de la Caridad Méndez) would also share about how she and her partner try to educate their kids on their privileged life, compared to most people in the world, by telling them stories of how they grew up with little money.

'I explain to them what I didn't have, what Ryan didn't have when he was little, how hard we had to fight, the dark days of being paycheck to paycheck, and this and that, but they'll never really know unless they experience that,' the Miami, Florida native explained.

After going through bouts of anxiety in her lifetime, Mendes tries to instill self-esteem into their lives by giving them tasks to do around the house to build their confidence.

'I still have all this anxiety and I see myself passing it on to my children,' Mendes said, before admitting she herself was a 'good kid' growing up in Miami, which she credits her late brother.

'He'd say, "If I ever see you out there with a guy or smoking, I'll f**king kick his ass and take you to school every day,"' she recalled. 'By sheer fear I was a good kid.'

During the interview, the retired actress credited Gosling with making her feel 'sexy' in her 50s.

'I feel really f**king sexy at times,' she gushed. 'The way my man looks at me is just … at times I'm like, oh my God. That might not sit well with people, but so much of how I feel is a reflection of what he's giving me.'

The hot and heavy couple first met in August 2011 after they both signed on to star in the epic crime drama The Place Beyond The Pines.

In the film, the two actors played love interests Romina Gutierrez, who eventually hooks up with another man, and Luke Glanton, a motorcycle stunt rider who supports his family, which includes their young son, through a life of crime.

The new couple wasted little time and started dating during the shoot of the film.

After playing a pretend family with Mendes in The Place Beyond The Pines, Gosling realized he wanted to start a family of his own with the actress.

'I wasn't thinking about kids before I met her, but after I met Eva, I realized that I just didn't want to have kids without her,' the longtime Hollywood leading man told GQ in 2023, before adding. 'There were moments on The Place Beyond The Pines where we were pretending to be a family, and I didn't really want it to be pretend anymore.'

The couple went public with their relationship when they went to Disneyland together, and were seen holding hands and walking closely.

Eventually, The couple made their red carpet debut at the Toronto International Film Festival to promote The Place Beyond The Pines in September 2012.

Mendes went on to kind of retire from acting to focus on their family in 2014, and to be able to do other ventures such as writing her new debut picture book Desi, Mami, And The Never-Ending Worries, which dropped September 17, and includes the actress doing the audio version of the book in her own voice.

The story focuses on a little girl facing endless scary worries, according to Macmillan Publishers.'Every night begins with the same refrain: 'MAMI! THERE’S A MONSTER UNDER MY BED!' Desi has so many scary thoughts!

Is her brain a monster?! Of course it's not a real monster, and Mami assures Desi of this. Sometimes we just have scary worries running through our minds. And like anything in life, you just need to work to make things better.
